While recollecting the life, achievements and death of journalist Anna Politkovskaya, the participants of the forum are also discussing the problems of restricting the freedom of speech in Russia, facts of violations of human rights and attempts to suppress dissidence in all its manifestations, the Radio Liberty informs.
We remind you that October 7 was one year after the murder in Moscow of well-known journalist Anna Politkovskaya, an observer of "Novaya Gazeta." In connection with this date, all over Europe and in the cities of Russia memorial actions and various cultural actions are held.
