Russian human rights defenders expressed concern over the likelihood of Ibragimov facing death while they were set to write a letter to the lower chamber Duma of Russian parliament about Ibragimov’s request. Tatiana Monahova spoke on behalf of the Russian defenders of human rights when she said that the Chechen people need Ibragimov: “Sometimes it gets far more difficult to survive than to die. Please do not leave your people sad behind. Despite attempts by international organizations that support the Kremlin, millions of people have had a clear chance to hear your requests. Just wait a little bit longer. The situation will definitely change. All kinds of nations, especially the Chechen people who suffered a lot, need idealists just like you. You ought to return safe to your daily activities that nobody else can do.”
