Andrey Kalenov and Denis Zelenyuk are freed under condition of nondeparture
RUSSIA, Moscow. On September 13, in Novgorod, antiwar activists Andrey Kalenov and Denis Zelenyuk from St. Petersburg were released from Investigation Unit No. 1 of the Novgorod region under condition of nondeparture, reported a representative of the "Autonomous Action" movement, Olga Miryasova to a correspondent of PRIMA -News.
On August 16, the men were detained on suspicion of participation in undermining the "Neva Express" train.

The press-service of the St. Petersburg Yabloko party also reported the release of Kalenov and Zelenyuk.

On September 13, in Novopushkinskya Square in Moscow, pacifists picketed demanding the release of the antiwar activists.
For the past several years, Kalenov and Zelenyuk have participated in weekly pacifist actions on Malaya Konushenaya St. in St. Petersburg. Their attorneys emphasize that there is no basis whatsoever for the charges against them, noted the press release of the organizers of the picket. Andrey Kalenov works as a scientific researcher for "Memorial" (Saint Petersburg), from the11th to 14th of August he was working in the evening, and this is confirmed by the statements of his colleagues. Nevertheless, Kalenov and Zelenyuk spent almost a month in SIZO.

Olga Miryasova, who was present at the action, told a correspondent of PRIMA-News that although Andrey Kalenov and Denis Zelenyuk were freed, they remain suspects under Article 205 of the Criminal Code ("Terrorist Acts"). She emphasized that the FSB does not want to admit that in investigating the "Neva Express" incident they detained random people. When Kalenov and Zelenyuk are proven innocent, their defense will sue for compensation for the moral harm of the 30 days they spent in SIZO, said Miryasova.
About 25 people participated in the action. The picketers held posters reading: "Freedom to Andrey Kalenov and Denis Zelenyuk!", "Vladimir Vladimirovich, where were you on August 13?", " Anarchists do not blow up peaceful citizens!" There were also traditional pacifist posters such as: "The provocations of the FSB are way to the terror. Volgodonsk. Kashirka. Ryazan. "Nord-Ost". "Rizhskaya", Beslan "," Taxpayer! Who ordered tanks into Chechnya?", “War in Chechnya - Crime against Humanity".
