A group of deputies has proposed making a separate report on human rights in the North Caucasus, but the bureau rejected the initiative. “The bureau decided not to draft a separate report on the situation regarding human rights in Chechnya and hand this topic over to the monitoring commission,” Konstantin Kosachev, who heads the international affairs committee of Russia’s lower house of parliament said.
